First Set: I took these pictures downtown in Ann Arbor. I chose to take a picture of these building's because they are good examples of architecture. So, since downtown Ann Arbor is full of buildings and architecture, I decided to take some of my pictures there. When taking these pictures, I just wanted to capture a "part" of Ann Arbor, which is partly buildings and architecture. The only hard part was trying to make sure there were no people or sidewalks, while still capturing a good image.
Second Set: I also took these pictures in downtown Ann Arbor but in a different spot. I chose to take a picture of this "building" and construction because of two reasons. I though that the unfinished building look neat and it seemed like a good example of architecture. I wanted to take these pictures because is shows somewhat how architecture is created. A struggle I had was to make sure no machines or people were blocking the image.
Third Set: I took these pictures on the Huron River by the train tracks. I chose to take a picture of this bridge because I thought it looked really cool and rustic. Also, besides from the architecture, I thought the surrounding environment was a nice compliment to it. When taking these pictures, there was somewhat of a struggle. It was hard to get close enough as it was across the river and it was difficult to get different angles of it.
Fourth Set: I also took these pictures by the Huron River. This is a dock that has been at my house since we have moved here which explains why the paint is peeling. I wanted to take a picture of this dock because I thought the peeling paint looked cool along with the uneven boards throughout the dock. Also, I liked how it showed architecture can still look good even around nature. The only struggle I had, was making sure that each image was unique and wasn't the same.
Fifth Set: I took these pictures inside of a boat house near the Huron River. I thought it was really cool to show the inside because it was still a work in progress. Also, I liked the wood along with the dangling lightbulbs. I chose this because I wanted to take at least one set of my architecture photos inside to show that there is also architecture there. The only struggle I had was to get good lighting inside without artificial light.
