Orchid
Artist Statement: I chose to photograph orchid flowers in my house, they are my mom's favorite. Although they are not vibrant, I wanted to show their calm, soothing color. Also, I thought they looked really cool, growing off long, green stems. This image was taken to show a peaceful scene with nothing distracting. It is just the flowers and an open, clear background. Artist Statement: I chose to photograph this tree outside of my house with all green leaves. I thought that it would be a cool picture with just the green leaves showing. All of the other trees were black and white except for this one. I really like how the picture turned out after the editing. This is my favorite picture out of all of them. Red
Artist Statement: I chose to photograph this apple on a table inside my house. I thought this picture would look cool with a bright red apple in the center. Also, I like how bold the apple looks in the middle. Another thing that I liked about this picture was the lighting. The lighting makes this picture really good looking. |
Purple Fire
Artist Statement: I chose to photograph a Japanese maple tree. This is because I really liked the red color. I thought it was something that would look very cool for the mask. I also loved the shape of the leaves, each individual one looks like a small fire. But, this was probably the hardest one to edit because of the weird shape Simple
Artist Statement:
I chose to photograph this bench outside of my house. I did this because I thought that it would be really neat to just highlight the orange. I think that it makes the image really cool and simple looking. Also, I think that the editing gives it a rustic look. This was probably the easiest picture to edit out of all of them. |
